Description

The purpose of this course is to provide students with the tools needed to evaluate and develop operations and logistics management policies. Logistics managers plan, implement, and control the efficient, effective flow and storage of goods, services, and related information from the purchase of supplies through delivery to end user. Students will use analytical and problem-solving skills to assess challenges related to logistics, distribution, and transportation. Students will evaluate theories and best practices focusing on inbound and outbound transportation management, fleet management, warehousing, materials handling, order fulfillment, logistics network design, inventory management, supply/demand planning, and management of logistics services providers. Prerequisites: MGT201, ECO201, ECO202
