Description
This course explores the multi-faceted nature ofconsciousness. Topics include major theories ofconsciousness; methodological challenges in studying
consciousness; ethical considerations related toconsciousness; neurobiological mechanisms ofconsciousness; and practical applications of states of
consciousness. Emphasis is placed on an integrative,interdisciplinary approach to understanding consciousness.
Prerequisites: PSY 311.
