Description
This course will introduce students to the parts of a modern stage and diverse tasks required in performance of a play. Concepts in stage history, dramaturgy, set design, lighting technique, costume, and sound will be explored. The instructor will also introduce students to the individual merits of classical verse drama, clowning, melodrama modern drama, Epic theater and Absurdist drama. Short scenes monologues will be performed.
